The Blaugrana looked set to squander the opportunity to overhaul Atletico Madrid at the summit of the standings but Neymar earned Martino's men a spot kick for the second time in three games with just 13 minutes remaining.
Messi stepped up to the mark and cooly slotted home to send Barca two points clear over the Rojiblancos, who will take on Athletic Bilbao at San Mames later in the day.

FAN-normal routine for them, neymar sets up a match winning( "controversial at times) penalty for messi to of cause bury.

FAN-Barcelona has struggled against lesser opponent this season, so a rival like Espanyol will not be an exception.
SEUN MAYE-Are your happy with this game ending this way?
FAN-humm.....not really i would expect Barcelona to win such a match with a bigger goal difference

FAN-well Barcelona has to take every match seriously but a win against real betis is not too big to ask.
